A Little about me
Hi there, I am Elri and I am a Wedding , Elopement & Life Style Photographer based in the Helderberg area of Cape Town, South Africa.
I’ve always loved photography, but wedding photography wasn’t actually something I originally had on my radar as a career. My love of people and learning cultures led me to travel and work overseas for the most part of my twenties. In 2015 friends asked me to photograph their wedding, on that day I instantly fell in love. I dove headfirst into the wedding photography world and I’m so happy that my love of photography has turned into what it is today.
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph couples in love for 4 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I specialise in creating a relaxing and fun atmosphere for your photo experience. I do some posing when taking photographs - but my aim is to keep it as natural as possible and rely instead on capturing the natural, organic moments as they unfold.

I grew up in the Free State, I can't hide my accent :)
We have a cat Ms. Molly and yes we have long conversations with each other
I am most happy when I spend time with my family & friends over a braai.
Alone time may consist of binge watching a good series
I have the best job in the world! I love getting to know people, learning their stories and being trusted to document their lives in photographs that will last a lifetime.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Every wedding is unique and I have been fortunate enough to photograph all types ceremonies and celebrations in the past 4 years. My goal is to create photos in a photojournalistic and unobtrusive way to help you to remember the day as it really happened. No overly staged moments, awkward poses, or over-the-top props - just you and all the realness of your day. No matter if you are having a huge lavish party or an intimate gathering, you can rest assured knowing that your pictures will look true to your memories.

THE EXPERIENCE
Being your photographer means more to me than just showing up and giving you photos. It's your wedding - this is a big deal! Before your wedding day, I will be there to help with timelines, vendor recommendations and be a sounding board for all your many ideas. On your wedding day, I will be there to keep you calm, fluff/bustle your dress, remind you to eat & drink water. After your wedding you can relax knowing your memories were documented and get excited knowing preview photos will be available soon!
THE COLLECTIONS
I offer easily customisable collections that can be made to fit your day perfectly. Customisations can include an engagements session, second photographer, more/less hours, albums, boudoir session etc.
All collections come with professionally edited hi-res images, delivered via a USB Flash drive. A personalised online gallery with a selection of the 'high light' images of the day that can be shared with family and friends.
Frequently asked Questions
Do you only shoot Weddings
For the most part I only photograph Weddings. I do shoot Engagements and Lifestyle sessions. I do a few Events throughout the year. Enquire for more info.
